Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroen C25 Relay Mk1 1981-1994 Speedo Overlay

This is a speedometer overlay that will indicate MPH and Km/h when fitted to a Mk1 (Fiat, Peugeot, Citroen) Sevel van.

I looked long and hard to get one of these for my Mk1 Fiat Ducato based Hymer motorhome. There seemed to be lots around for the newer versions, but nothing suitable, and more importantly, legal, was available for the older ones.

After hours of fruitless searching both on the internet and the telephone, I realised that I had finally exhausted all avenues, and that I had no option but to design and make one myself. 

After showing my finished item to others, and receiving encouraging feedback, I have decided to offer my overlay for sale, for the benefit of other owners of these vehicles

This overlay only fits MK 1 vehicles from 1981-1994.

Lots of motorhomes were, and are still being, imported based on these vehicles, including Arca, Burstner, Dethleffs, Hobby, Hymer, Knaus, Pilote, etc.

If you've got one, and its LHD, the chances are that your speedometer will only show Km/h.

This easy to fit, laminated overlay is printed on good quality media, and includes all required holes, slots and windows, all individually cut by hand.  It indicates your speed in both Mph and Kph during the daytime, and also when illuminated by the dash lights at night.

This is a legal requirement in the UK, that cheap stickers or markings, on the outside of the instrument panel glass do not meet.  Furthermore, from Jan 1st 2012, a vehicle will fail the updated MoT test if the speedo cannot be illuminated.

The odometer and trip meter continue to display the distance travelled in Km.
